Les habitants du village de Nguéyène, situé dans la commune de Warkhokh du département de Linguère, sont sous le choc.
En effet deux frères, âgés respectivement de 25 et 7 ans, sont morts noyés, hier mercredi, vers 19 h, dans un marigot distant d’un demi-kilomètre du village.
Selon une source de Seneweb proche des villageois, les victimes, de retour des champs, étaient parties au marigot pour se baigner. Le plus jeune a été vite englouti par les eaux pluviales. Son grand frère, qui tentait de le sauver, a connu le même sort.
C’est ainsi que les populations ont été alertées par un autre garçon resté sur la rive. Informés, les sapeurs-pompiers de Linguère se sont transportés sur les lieux du drame. Mais n’ont pu sauver les deux frères.
C’est ce matin, vers 10 h, que les deux corps sans vie ont été repêchés par les pompiers, avec le renfort de leurs collègues venus de Louga.
La gendarmerie a ouvert une enquête.
