Tout Sénégalais, qui souhaiterait se faire vacciner contre la Covid-19, peut prendre sa dose. Les autorités médicales ont élargi jeudi la cible de la vaccination.
En effet, à travers une note d’information adressée aux médecins-chefs de régions et aux chefs de districts, le directeur de la Prévention, Dr El Hadj Mamadou Ndiaye, a indiqué qu’« après un mois de la mise en œuvre de la stratégie nationale de vaccination anti-Covid-19 ciblant essentiellement les personnes âgées avec comorbidité et le personnel de santé, il est retenu à partir de ce jour (25 mars 3021) d’élargir la vaccination à toutes les cibles éligibles ».
A ce titre, il a exhorté les acteurs à décentraliser le plus possible les stratégies de vaccination et à utiliser toutes les stratégies susceptibles d’atteindre lesdites cibles dans les délais courts impartis à tous. « Toutes les personnes éligibles, qui se présentent à vos centres, doivent être vaccinées avec équité et sans aucune restriction », a insisté le porte-parole du ministère de la Santé et de l’Action sociale.
Dans sa stratégie, le ministère de la Santé visait, dans une première étape, à assurer la vaccination d’au moins 90% des cibles prioritaires, constituées du personnel de santé, des sujets âgés d’au moins 60 ans, des personnes présentant des comorbidités, mais aussi celles de par leur fonction ou mode de vie sont plus exposées que le reste de la population générale.
Cette première étape avait démarré, le 23 février dernier. La deuxième phase du plan de vaccination vise, à présent, «au moins 90% de la population globale restante dans un délai qui ne doit pas dépasser le premier trimestre de 2022»
