L’Organisation mondiale du tourisme (Omt) compte miser sur quatre leviers pour relancer le secteur dans le monde. Elle a, à ce titre, lancé des appels à contribution à l’endroit des entrepreneurs pour des offres de propositions.
Afin d’assurer une reprise de l’activité touristique, l’Organisation mondiale du tourisme (Omt) a lancé quatre défis aux startups invités à concourir pour proposer des solutions. Le premier projet, engagé à l’échelle mondiale, en collaboration avec Sommet éducation, porte sur l’hôtellerie. L’idée est de trouver des projets pouvant contribuer au renouveau du secteur hôtelier. Ce concours cherche à repérer les idées et les innovateurs capables d’accélérer le redressement, tout en favorisant l’inclusion et la durabilité dans le secteur, et inventer l’hôtellerie de demain. Les 30 finalistes bénéficieront d’une bourse complète d’études dans 15 programmes de gestion hôtelière, arts culinaires et métiers de la pâtisserie (Licence, Master, Mba) dispensés par les centres éducatifs de stature mondiale de Sommet éducation. Parmi les 30 vainqueurs, les trois projets entrepreneuriaux les plus innovants arrivés en tête recevront des fonds pour amorcer leur développement de la part d’Eurazeo, groupe mondial d’investissement de premier plan.
Le deuxième projet est axé sur la compétition globale de startups évoluant dans tous les secteurs de l’économie. Ces jeunes entreprises sont invitées à participer au plus vaste concours de l’innovation pour accélérer la réalisation des Objectifs de développement durable (Odd) des Nations unies. S’agissant du troisième projet de contribution « Inspiring Africa – branding challenge », lancé en partenariat avec Cnn International, l’Omt invite les acteurs clés du marketing et des stratégies de marque à proposer des idées de campagne pour positionner l’Afrique en tant que destination dans l’esprit des voyageurs. Cette campagne vise à créer une image positive de l’Afrique en tant que destination touristique et à appuyer des efforts engagés individuellement par les pays et les entreprises.
Enfin, à travers le quatrième et dernier projet, l’Omt recherche des startups proposant des solutions innovantes et intelligentes pour maximiser l’expérience de visite dans les stades ou durant des événements. Les entreprises gagnantes auront la possibilité de mettre au point un projet pilote, en collaboration avec l’Athletic Club, pendant six mois. La participation permettra aux startups sélectionnées d’acquérir les compétences voulues pour accélérer le développement durable et, par le biais d’une plateforme sans précédent, de rencontrer les acteurs clés et d’échanger des exemples de réussite.
