Le rapport produit par un groupe de chercheurs intitulé «Magal dans un contexte de Covid-19», continue d’alimenter les débats. Ce, après que certains médias ont annoncé que l’étude concluait à l’organisation du «Magal chez soi». Et même si les auteurs du rapport s’en défendent, selon la Rfm, à Touba, les autorités se veulent claires.
Président du Comité d’organisation du Grand Magal de Touba (Gmt), Serigne Abdoul Ahad Mbacké Gaïndé Fatma a, d’emblée, fait savoir : «Je n’ai pas d’avis par rapport à ce document que moi-même j’ai lu et qui a été remis au khalife général des mourides.» Avant de poursuivre : «Nous, ce qui nous lie, c’est le ‘ndiguel’ du khalife. Le document est un avis qui peut éclairer une prise de décision. C’est élaboré par des ‘mbok talibés’ que je connais très bien d’ailleurs et qui sont, pour la plupart, des amis. Mais nous, en tant que membres de l’organisation, on s’en tient à cela et on prépare le Magal.»
Il ajoute que la commission travaille d’arrache-pied dans ce sens, pour ne pas être prise au dépourvu.
En fait, le document «qui a fuité» dans la presse était exclusivement réservé au khalife général des mourides et pour sa gouverne, en vue du Magal dans un contexte de Covid-19.
Par ailleurs, le comité a fourni des explications pour «rétablir la vérité». Selon le groupe de recherche, ils ont travaillé sur plusieurs scénarii et non sur un seul comme évoqué dans une certaine presse.
Le premier est que le Magal soit célébré à domicile. «Magal chez soi, conforme aux modèles d’évènements précédents. En termes clairs : pas d’affluence au niveau de Touba», lit-on dans le rapport. La deuxième option est le Magal tel qu’on le connait traditionnellement, mais avec le respect strict des gestes barrières. La troisième précision est, selon les chercheurs, «n’avoir nullement pour vocation d’imposer une quelconque directive au khalife général des mourides».
A les en croire, le rapport des chercheurs n’est pas une commande du khalife général des mourides, «mais juste une contribution, une initiative de chercheurs en vue d’éclairer le khalife général des mourides».
