Le Sociologue et homme de lettres sénégalais, le Professeur Abdoulaye Bara Diop, ancien Directeur de l’Institut fondamental d’Afrique noire (IFAN) Cheikh Anta Diop, est décédé, lundi, soir, rapportent différentes sources médiatiques.Il est l’auteur, notamment, de ‘’La société wolof. Les systèmes d’inégalité et de domination’’, (Karthala, 1981).
Le Pr Diop a présidé la Commission scientifique des Assises nationales, ces concertations menées par l’opposition et la société civile, en 2008.
Il a également été président de la commission scientifique de la Commission nationale de réforme des institutions (CNRI).
