Unlike gluing a strip of temporary fake lashes onto your lash line, semipermanent lashes are applied by a technician who hand-glues the extensions on top of your natural lashes. Because lash extensions don’t come in a strip, they are super customizable and actually look real. With proper care (more on that later), they can last for six to eight weeks until they naturally fall out like your lashes usually do. Because the extensions are lighter in diameter (0.03–0.07 mm), they add dramatic body without weighing down natural lashes. Volume sets are highly customisable—ranging from soft “Russian” wisps to bold dark liners—and require meticulous mapping to keep the lash line healthy. Hybrid sets blend the precision of classic lashes with the fluff of volume fans. Stylists alternate single extensions and 3-to-5-strand fans on each eye, creating texture that looks denser than classic but lighter than full volume. Perfect for clients who want everyday wearability with a hint of glam, hybrids fill small gaps in the natural lash line and photograph beautifully under soft lighting.
